New adventures start next week!

During my mini student teaching experience last semester, I sometimes told my kindergarteners who were doing really well that they were "on fire." I had many other ways to give positive reinforcement but this one was their favorite so I liked to use it to give the other students an extra push. As soon as I said it to one student, others would chime "Am I on fire? Am I on fire?" I don't think they realized how funny that question sounded.

These little students of mine show me why it's fun to be alive. Someone or something will always surprise you when you're young and as a youngster, you surprise all of the adults around you.

Next week I'll start my official student teaching experience and I hope that I'll be able to share all of the fun things my students say and do as well as my own experiences and insights as I learn the ropes of teaching.

I know that teaching won't be easy. Children can be difficult to manage at times but sometimes powering through the hard times lets you get through to the moments that are worth it. Hopefully I'll have lots of those moments to share in the coming weeks.
